PVR Blog – Newsletter – May 2021

Well! What a year that was!!! 2020 certainly threw us some huge challenges both personally and business-wise and aren’t we all glad that life seems to be settling back down finally?

Here at the Resort, we have seen LOTS of changes – including a change in Ownership & Management!! New owners, Mindi & Peter have great plans for the future and can’t wait for you all to visit and see what’s happening around the Resort. From lawns, landscaping, decks, pergolas, feature trees, a beautiful new front fence to a makeover of the Lakehouse, there is already much to admire. Our wifi upgrade is about to commence and the installation of solar power throughout the Resort has recently been completed.

The quieter winter months will also see new LED lighting within the Villas and some new décor as well. The bridges over the lake will be replaced and a new boardwalk created around the deck of the Lakehouse pool connecting it to the Lakehouse deck and pergola area.

The installation of shade sails around the Wisteria Pool will offer some welcome protection from the summer sun and the new cushions for the sun loungers have already been very well received. Ongoing improvements to the irrigation system are producing fabulous results with the Resort boasting lush green grass and thriving gardens once again.

Wedding season is DONE (!) and it was beautiful to see so much love in the air again with almost every weekend between March & May booked for weddings. We are excited about the Queen’s Birthday Long Weekend, Wild & Free Wellness Retreat, and 2021 Winter Blues Festival in the coming months. The Spring is going to be just as busy with more weddings, Melbourne Cup weekend, Pop & Pour just to name a few.

With the cancellation of the Southern 80 Ski Race in February, we decided it would be a great idea to try something new, so on the Saturday afternoon all onsite guests were invited to the Lakehouse Deck to mingle and enjoy some fantastic live music thanks to Rogue Acoustic. This was such an epic day that we just had to do it again! Labour Day Weekend saw Rogue Acoustic once again on the Lakehouse Deck on the Sunday keeping us all dancing and singing (not very well!) all afternoon. With so much fabulous local talent in the area, we will definitely be making this a regular gig so stay tuned to see who’s playing when!
